    Two servers up, one down!

Know when your site is down before the customer (or your boss) tells you!

With Montastic, you monitor all your websites and watch them change color as they go up or down.

If you don't have time to sit and stare at the monitor, lucky you, Montastic will send you an email each time a server changes status.

    Montastic FAQs

Is there any limit on the number of servers we can monitor?

Yes. The limit is set at 100.

How often does the system monitor my sites?

We try to do it every 10 minutes at the minimum. This varies depending on the system load.

Why is it free? Is there a catch?

There is no catch. We developed Montastic for us and the cost of development was minimal. Montastic is 100% automated and adding servers to monitors costs virtually nothing. So, we wanted to share its usefulness and its fun with others.

Are the server statuses available via RSS

Yes. Each account includes a RSS feed.

Does Montastic checks from multiple locations?

Yes, from 2 different locations: 66.216.68.245 and 209.61.157.78.

A monitoring server that is fun to use? How come?!!

It’s fun because we use some technology that makes clicking on a web page more enjoyable, with crisp response time and small animations. For the technically minded, the application is built with Ruby on Rails and we use some Ajax to make things smooth and enjoyable.

Can I use the this-site-is-montasticated-log logo to put on my site?

Yes and it also helps to spread the word. You can use the following code below:

Copy this code and insert it into your web page:
and it will looks like this: This site is montasticated

    Who should we thank?

Metadot Corporation and its team of open source fanatics. They have been writing software for the web for many years.
